Mowgli and Friends

You know, in the books Kaa was actually a friend and mentor to Mowgli, just like Baloo and Bagheera. I decided not to add him here, though, partly because we're technically supposed to be doing art of the Disney film, but mostly because I couldn't be bothered.

I decided to make Mowgli look like a crazy jungle child, instead of the oddly clean, unmuscled, well fed, relatively normal child he is in the film. This is a kid who's grown up having to fight for survival in a world where his smell would probably preferably be as close to a wild animal's as possible. Or, better yet, rather like the random smells of the jungle floor. I.e; poop and rotting things.

Also, I discovered that Baloo is supposed to be a Sloth bear, which is a species with that sort of blond crest thing you can see on my Baloo, something that the species shares in common with the Moon bear.

And finally... I couldn't decide what the F to do with the background.
